Third Space Agencies Meeting of the OTS held in Ankara

Third Meeting among the Space Agencies and Relevant Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was convened on 24 April 2024 in Ankara.

The Meeting was moderated by Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, hosted by Mr. Yusuf Kıraç, President of the Turkish Space Agency and attended by Mr. Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Space Agency, Mr. Malik Olzhabekov, Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Adilet Muliukbaev, Head of the Spectrum Management Department from the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Shukhrat Kadirov, Director of the Uzbek Space Agency, Mr. Arnold Ács, Head of Department of Space Policy and Space Activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and Mr. Batyr Orazdurdyyev, Director of Turkmen Space Company.

At the meeting, Parties emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of space and sharing the best practices among the experts in this field.

Parties agreed to continue working on developing joint cube satellite project and to organize a technical working group in the upcoming days in Kazakhstan to discuss the details of the project. 

Member and Observer States further confirmed to take part at the 2nd Space Camp to be hosted by the Turkish side this year in Türkiye.

Parties expressed their appreciation to the Turkish side for hosting the event and Space Technology Conference to be taken place on 24-26 April 2024 in Ankara.
