OTS launches a new “Internship Programme for Experts of Diaspora Institutions”

Following the Fifth Meeting of the Ministers and Heads of Institutions Responsible for Diaspora Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Bishkek on 22 November 2023, a significant step was taken by the Parties that decided to launch a new internship programme to promote cooperation and exchange of information in the field of diaspora among the OTS Member States.

Based on this decision, the first of this Internship Programme for Experts of Diaspora Institutions of OTS Member States was launched on 6 May 2024 in Ankara, Türkiye, hosted by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).  

Initiated with the joint commitment to enhance cooperation among Diaspora Institutions, this programme aims to provide a week-long comprehensive practical experience to officials and facilitate the exchange of best practices, insights and knowledge among the participating institutions.

The programme is to be held on a rotational basis in the OTS Member States.
