On 19 September 2025, as part of his working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, visited Manas University at their invitation.

During the meeting with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, and the faculty professors, the Secretary General congratulated Manas University on its 30th anniversary, acknowledged its achievements to date, and emphasized the importance of expanded cooperation through the Turkic Universities Union (TURKUNIB).

Within the framework of the visit, the Secretary General granted an interview to Manas University’s television channel, where he spoke about the Organization’s structure, tasks, and objectives.

In recognition of his contribution to the University and its mission, the Secretary General was awarded the commemorative medal '30 Years of Manas University.'
