In the framework of his working visit to Mexico City, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a meeting with the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions of the OTS Member States accredited in Mexico on 4 November 2025 at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which currently holds the Chairmanship of the Organization.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Ms. Elnara Rzayeva, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Mexico, H.E. Mr. Almurat Turganbekov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mexico and H.E. Mr. Murat Salim Esenli, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Mexico.
During the meeting, the Secretary General briefed the Ambassadors on the OTS activities aimed at strengthening cooperation among the Member States in various priority areas. He underlined that his visit to Mexico and the signing of the OTS–CIMMYT Memorandum of Understanding mark an important milestone in advancing cooperation in sustainable development, particularly in agricultural innovation.
The participants exchanged views on strengthening coordination among the diplomatic missions and exploring ways to enhance the visibility of the OTS in Mexico, as well as promote engagement and mutually beneficial cooperation with institutions in Mexico and the wider region.
The Ambassadors reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the unity and joint efforts of the Turkic States in advancing the OTS agenda globally and expressed readiness to support the Organization’s initiatives in Mexico and the region.
