The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a working meeting with the Assistant Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, Mr. Viorel Gutu, on 1 December 2025 in Budapest.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further enhance comprehensive cooperation between the OTS and FAO. They also exchanged views on the future agenda and upcoming events.

Experts of the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia briefed the OTS Secretary General on the current collaboration with the OTS Member States in areas such as food safety and nutrition, water management, digitalization of agriculture, youth empowerment, and animal production and health.

The parties agreed to continue constructive discussions aimed at further developing cooperation between the OTS and FAO.
