H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) received Dr. Babatunde A. Ahonsi, the UN Resident Coordinator in Türkiye on 11 November 2025 at the premises of the OTS Secretariat in Istanbul. 

During the meeting, Secretary General Omuraliev briefed the UN Resident Coordinator on the OTS's activities and the ongoing cooperation among its Member States across various sectors as well as existing collaboration with various UN agencies and bodies.

The discussions also centred on enhancing cooperation in sustainable development initiatives, with a specific focus on joint efforts for implementing the zero-waste initiative across the Turkic region. 

Both Parties expressed mutual readiness to deepen institutional dialogue and coordination in addressing pressing regional and global challenges. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering sustainable development and shared prosperity in the region.
