The 8th International Festival of World People’s Epics dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the prominent manaschi Sayakbay Karalaev was held on 27-31 May 2025 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

The Festival opened with an address by H.E. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic brought together statesmen, heads of international organizations, scientists, storytellers and cultural representatives from different countries of the world.    

Participating at the event, Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) presented the certificate on behalf of the OTS Secretary General to the winner in the nomination of the “Best Yurt” of the contest organized within the framework of the Festival.
