On 23 April 2025, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev participated in the 4th Meeting among the Space Agencies and Relevant Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku.

The Meeting was hosted by Mr. Dunay Badirkhanov, Chair of the Board, Space Agency of Azerbaijan (AzerCosmos) and attended by the delegation of OTS Member States and Observers.

During his address, the Secretary General highlighted the growing importance of space collaboration among the Turkic states and underlined the strategic significance of joint initiatives in this field. He noted that the development of a joint satellite under the auspices of the OTS has the potential to become the flagship project of space cooperation among the member states.   

At the meeting, Parties agreed to continue working on developing joint cube satellite project.

Member States and Observers further confirmed to take part at the 3rd Space Camp to be hosted by the Turkish side this year in Türkiye.
