The 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the OTS was held Baku, Azerbaijan

The 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States was held on 23 May 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

The Meeting was hosted H.E. Vilayat Eyvazov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and attended by H.E. Erzhan Sadenov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Ulan Niiazbekov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Aziz Tashpulatov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Dursun Oğuz, Minister of Interior of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, H.E. Bence Rétvári, Deputy Minister of Interior, Parliamentary State Secretary of Hungary, as well as H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS.

During the Meeting, Secretary General of the OTS delivered a speech and emphasized the importance of cooperation among the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the OTS, which contributes not only to the well-being of the Turkic countries but also to regional and global peace and security. 

The Ministers presented information about activities of their Ministries, as well as the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, extremism, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, illicit production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, irregular migration, crimes committed by using information technologies, etc. In this respect, they highlighted the importance of cooperation on law enforcement within the framework of the OTS. 

The Ministers signed the Joint Communique of the 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the OTS.

It was decided to convene the next - 3rd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the OTS in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2026.
