Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Meets with Ambassadors of Member and Observer States in Brussels

On 21 October 2025, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), met with the Ambassadors of the OTS Member and Observer States at a working lunch hosted by H.E. Mr. Vaqif Sadiqov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Brussels, in his capacity as Chairman-in-Office of the OTS.

The lunch was attended by H.E. Mr. Aidit Erkin, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Mr. Faruk Kaymakcı, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the European Union; H.E. Mr. G. Barış Tantekin, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye; H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium; H.E. Mr. Balázs Hendrich, Ambassador and Executive Director of the OTS Representative Office in Hungary; H.E. Ms. Gizem Alpman, Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; and Mr. Daniyar Seidaliyev, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on recent developments within the OTS region and discussed ongoing initiatives under the Azerbaijani Chairmanship. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation and solidarity among the Member and Observer States.

The Ambassadors also expressed a shared interest in establishing a more regular and institutionalized coordination mechanism in Brussels to enhance dialogue and ensure closer engagement with European institutions and partners.

Secretary General Omuraliev welcomed the initiative and emphasized the importance of maintaining active diplomatic coordination to advance the shared goals and values of the Turkic World.
