On 26 June 2025, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, participated and addressed the 2nd Issyk-Kul Electoral Forum, convened under the theme “Modern Approaches to Electoral Participation: From Theory to Practice” in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.
In his remarks, Secretary General Omuraliev highlighted the Forum’s growing role as a dynamic platform for regional dialogue and cooperation in the field of democratic governance. He praised the Kyrgyz Republic’s unwavering commitment to democratic values, describing the Forum as a reflection of the country’s dedication to transparency, civic engagement, and electoral integrity.
Addressing broader regional cooperation in the framework of the OTS Ambassador Omuraliev highlighted the vast experience of the Organization in observing elections and referenda, as well as the establishment of the Consultative Platform of the Election Authorities of the OTS Member States. He described this development as a tangible milestone in the institutionalization of electoral cooperation among Turkic States and a clear demonstration of the shared political will to advance democratic governance.
The Forum gathered electoral authorities, international experts, and representatives of regional and global organizations to explore innovative approaches in electoral participation.
