OTS Secretary General deivered Keynote Address at Hungarian Diplomatic Academy’s Flagship Training Programme

On 16 July 2025, at the invitation of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy, H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), delivered an online keynote address to the sixth training programme for newly appointed Hungarian heads of mission.

In his comprehensive speech, Secretary General Omuraliev offered a detailed analysis of current geopolitical trends, highlighting the shift towards a more fragmented and multipolar world order. He emphasized the strategic importance of regional cooperation frameworks such as the OTS in ensuring connectivity, stability, and inclusive development across Eurasia.

Ambassador Omuraliev also outlined the growing economic and geopolitical relevance of the Turkic States, particularly through initiatives like the Middle Corridor, the Turkic Investment Fund, and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement. He underscored Hungary’s dynamic role as an Observer State, notably hosting the OTS Representation Office in Budapest and the OTS Drought Prevention Institute, which contribute to advancing institutional dialogue and environmental cooperation.

Following the address, a lively Q&A session was held, during which Hungarian diplomats engaged in an interactive discussion with Secretary General Omuraliev. The exchange of views provided a valuable platform to explore opportunities for deepening diplomatic dialogue and practical cooperation between Hungary and the Turkic world.

The session was part of the Academy’s flagship training programme organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, designed to prepare newly appointed Hungarian ambassadors for their future missions.
