Heads of Security Councils of the Organization of Turkic States convened in Bishkek

The 4th Meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on 11-12 September in Bishkek.

The Meeting was attended by Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Marat Imankulov, Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Okay Memiş, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Viktor Makhmudov, as well as the Secretary General of the OTS, H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

During the meeting, Parties elaborated on the existing security environment and emerging developments in the OTS region and the world. They discussed the current security threats and challenges targeting the OTS countries, as well as potential ramifications of certain regional and global situations and trends to the Turkic region. 

In their discussions, the Heads of Security Councils paid a special emphasis on enhancing mechanisms within the framework of the OTS to enhance the existing security cooperation with concrete projects and programs. At the end of the meeting, the Secretaries of the Security Councils and the Secretary General of the OTS signed the Minutes of their 4th meeting.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Secretaries of the Security Councils and the Secretary General of the OTS were received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov.
