The Council of Presidents Meeting of the Turkic Red Network was convened on 19 November 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting brought together the heads of National Societies of Red Cross and Red Crescent of the Member States and Observers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS participated in the event and addressed at the opening ceremony of the Meeting highlighting the Organization’s growing humanitarian agenda.

In his address, Secretary General underlined the significance of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Turkic Red Network, signed in Bishkek in 2024, as a symbol of unity and solidarity among the Turkic countries in the field of humanitarian cooperation. 

He also referred to the Multilateral Agreement on the Civil Protection Mechanism of the OTS which aims to strengthen the collective response capacity of the Turkic States to natural disasters and emergencies.

Participants of the event reaffirmed their shared commitment to humanitarian solidarity, mutual assistance and the spirit of compassion that has long united the Turkic peoples.
