On 27 November 2025 in Astana, Merey Mukazhan, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States(OTS) had a bilateral meeting with Yerbolat Sadyrbayev, Vice-Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Secretary General has informed about the work of the Secretariat and emphasized importance of cooperation in the field of emergency situations. 

Vice-Minister briefed about ratification process of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism and proposed to commence cooperation in the area of industry security between Member States of the OTS. Mr.Sadyrbayev also raised important topics related to the emergency issues, which will strenghten the partnership within the OTS.

The parties discussed preparations to the upcoming 3rd Ministerial Meeting on Emergency Management of Member and Observer States of the OTS, which is planned to be organized in Kazakhstan in 2026.
