In his speech, Ambassador Omuraliev underlined the crucial role of Supreme Audit Institutions in promoting transparency, accountability and good governance across the Turkic World. He highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation among OTS Member States and Observers this field.
The Secretary General emphasized that enhanced coordination between audit institutions will contribute to sustainable development, economic resilience and deeper integration among Turkic States. He also reiterated the OTS’s readiness to support joint capacity-building initiatives, exchange of best practices and the development of common standards in line with international norms.
Participants welcomed the OTS’s commitment to advancing cooperation in public sector auditing and expressed their determination to further institutionalization of their collaboration.
A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Declaration that decided to establish Union of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Turkic States (TURKSAI).
